Country Club India Took Over UAE’s Chelsea Hotel

Country Club India’s largest leisure and infrastructure company, take over the Chelsea Hotel of Dubai for Dh165 million on 29th May.

After this the Chelsea Hotel is re-named as "The Country Club Hotel."

This takeover marked the beginning of large-scale participation of Indians in the Real estate sector. Further, with the help of joint ventures, CCIL will set up similar club facilities in other parts of the UAE and the Middle East regions. The international headquarters of CCIL would likely to be setup at Dubai itself.

Rajiv Reddy, Chairman, Country Club (India) Limited, said: “Dubai is one of the dynamic cities in the world, its truly a melting pot of different cultures and is the ideal place for businesses intending to cater to an international audience. Moreover, we see immense potential for tourism growth in the entire region.”

Elaborating on CCIL’s expansion plans he added: “Additionally, we have identified Mauritius, Singapore, Malaysia, Poland, and other European countries for our global expansion.
